Executive Summary
The US FDA has cleared Chemstrip Criterion, Boehringer Mannheim's latest urine analyser. Criterion is a semi-automatic reflectance photometer for semi-quantitative measurement of ten urine constituents. It requires calibrating every two weeks and features simple, customisable menus in English, Spanish, French and Japanese. Criterion joins four Chemstrip analysers cleared in the last two years and a range of Iris analysers which also use Boehringer Mannheim strips.
