Executive Summary
Medical Development East (Russia) has ordered a CT Laser Mammographer from Imaging Diagnostic Systems (US). The system will be used by the Moscow Medical Academy. IDS says it has also received initial orders from Austria and Switzerland. IDS has replaced the original Argon laser with a high power, diode-pumped continuous wave visible laser from Spectra-Physics Lasers (US). This improves the efficiency of the system and makes installation simpler. IDS has submitted an IDE application for the system to the US FDA.
