The US Center for Healthcare Information and the Pan American Health Organisation have created a database on Latin American hospitals. The catalogue contains information on over 15,000 hospitals and private clinics in Mexico, South and Central America and is the first comprehensive survey of the regions' hospitals, says Dr Humberto Novaes of the Pan American Health Organization.
