Executive Summary
Med-Acta is to acquire the worldwide manufacturing and sales rights, excluding Germany, to all orthopaedics patents and products of Professor Draenert, of Munich, Germany for DM7.5 million ($4 million). Areas covered under the agreement include the vacuum technology system for hip replacement, which is claimed to reduce operating risks of thrombo-embolism and extend prosthesis life, bone cement, bone substitutes and diamond cutting technologies. Swiss company Med-Acta is a newly-formed company owned by previous shareholders of Bieffe Medital Group.
