Executive Summary
The Japanese Ministry of Health has given CardioVascular Dynamics the go-ahead to market eight new models of the company's Lynx catheters. The devices use CVD's patented technology to treat atherosclerosis by focusing most of the dilatation force during treatment directly to the lesion site. This prevents the balloon dilatation damaging the surrounding arterial wall. The Lynx catheters can also be used in other interventional procedures.
