Heraeus has signed a letter of intent to buy US instrument and incubator manufacturer Sorvall Products. The new acquisition will be merged into the Heraeus subsidiary Heraeus Instruments. The new company will have an annual turnover of around DM300 million ($200 million). The deal will provide greater access to the US market for German company Heraeus.
