Sunbeam goes to court over American Medical Association (AMA) deal:
This article was originally published in Clinica
Executive Summary
Sunbeam has asked a federal court to enforce a product endorsement agreement it signed recently with the American Medical Association. The deal would have meant that the AMA seal would have appeared on certain Sunbeam products in return for putting printed healthcare education material in the packaging. However, adverse publicity led the AMA to try to renege on the agreement (see Clinica Nos 772, p 5 and 773, p 6).
