Executive Summary
Italian instrument manufacturer Esaote launched its AU5 harmonic ultrasound system at the Congress of the World Federation for Ultrasound Medicine and Biology, in Buenos Aires last week. The system, which allows users to optimise diagnostic examinations carried out with contrast agent from its standard configuration, was developed in cooperation with contrast agent manufacturer Bracco. It will be immediately available everywhere except the US, where distribution will begin next year. It is already CE-marked.
