General Surgical Innovations has promoted senior vice-president Gregory Cascicaro to president and chief operating officer. Roderick Young, whom Mr Cascicaro replaces as president, becomes chairman; he retains his position of CEO of the US manufacturer of balloon dissection systems. Mr Cascicaro has been a senior vice-president of the company since 1996.
