The mutual recognition agreement between Australia and the European Union now looks likely to be signed in February and implemented a month later, says Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration. The signing was to have been last month, but was delayed, said the TGA, by an EU request for an amendment to accreditation procedures for determining the competence of conformity assessment bodies.
