US Surgical's microlaparoscope has been cleared by the FDA for marketing in the US. The MicroLap Gold instrument which diagnoses and treats pelvic pain, infertility and tubal ligation, will be distributed by Imagyn Medical. Each year, more than 5 million women in the US have infertility problems, whereas a further 800,000 women choose tubal ligation as a permanent contraceptive method.
