Buoyant growth for Australian industry in 1995

Sales by Australia's medical device and diagnostic industry expanded around 10% in 1995, shows the Medical Industry Association of Australia's fifth industry survey. Sales by the MIAA members which responded to the survey - some 77% of the total - reached Aus$1,193 million ($920 million). The MIAA extrapolates this figure to Aus$1,540 million for its entire membership. Devices accounted for Aus$1,015 million or 85% of sales, with diagnostics contributing the remainder.
