Norway gets go-ahead for self-test regulations

The Norwegian government has given its Health Ministry the go- ahead to draft IVD regulations, as long as these are in the spirit of the draft IVD Directive. There are concerns that a growing number of unregulated self-tests are entering the market. There are no legal means of controlling such tests in Norway, and it is feared they could result in added pressure to the healthcare service as users flock to check results professionally.
