Executive Summary
Bayer Diagnostics is to add to its ADVIA range with its ADVIA S60 Autoslide System, an integrated smear maker and stainer, which is based on its HEMA-TEK slide stainer technology. The semi-automated system will enable haematology labs to create standardised smears for white blood cell differential analysis at a low cost. It can produce up to 60 slides an hour. Bayer says the system is designed for a variety of clinical settings, including satellite and small laboratories.
