The vice-president of US domestic marketing at Abaxis, a Sunnyvale, California-based company, James Canfield, has been forced to resign because of a "non-compete" clause imposed upon him by a previous employer. The blood chemistry analyser maker has begun the search for a replacement to Mr Canfield.
