The Profile-II system developed by Medtox Scientific has been approved by the FDA. The system is an on-site drugs-of-abuse test kit which is able to detect the five most common drugs of abuse - cannabanoids, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines and PCP - in one step using a single sample. The company expects to begin shipping the product next month.
