Allegiance Healthcare has selected the pulse oximetry sensor and signal-processing technology from privately-owned Irvine, California company, Masimo, to be incorporated into Allegiance monitors offered under its "Best Value" programme, to US hospitals. Allegiance hailed the Masimo signal-extraction pulse oximetry as giving fewer false alarms than other systems.
