A new standards healthcare forum established under the European Standards Committee (CEN) umbrella has met for the first time. The CEN Healthcare Forum (CHeF) was set up after lobbying from industry for a link between officials working in standards writing and the Technical Board (BT), which acts as the decision-making board of CEN. It was not originally included in the restructuring plans of CEN, the body responsible for overseeing the production of standards which companies can use throughout the European Economic Area.
