Sulzer Vascutek has opened an extension to its UK knitted and woven polyester graft plant. The Sulzer Medica subsidiary is gearing up to manufacture arterial blood vessels for vascular and cardiovascular use, made from expanded poly-tetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). Vascutek was acquired by Sulzer in 1990 and is based in Inchinnan, Scotland.
