Executive Summary
Corgenix Medical is to buy a privately-owned infectious disease diagnostics company, Integrated Diagnostics, for $2.2 million in cash and stock. Integrated, of Baltimore, specialises in emerging and vector-borne diseases, including Lyme disease, typhus, Ehrlichia and dengue fever. In August Corgenix, based in Denver, signed a licensing agreement with American Biogenetic Sciences to distribute ABS' Thrombus Precursor Protein (TpP) diagnostic kit. In June it purchased REAADS Medical Products, another diagnostics company, using $1 million it raised through a private placement. Chugai Pharmaceuticals of Japan is a 5.5% equity holder in Corgenix.
