Biomoda, which is 22%-owned by Advanced Optics Electronics, has received a preliminary offer from an investment banking firm to take it public. Biomoda says it will release further details of the offering as negotiations proceed. The company, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, claims to have a lung cancer test capable of detecting the disease up to six years earlier than existing tests.
