Orthofix International has appointed Sulzer Orthopedics to distribute its bone fixation products in a number of European markets, including Germany. Orthofix, the Dutch-based company whose products include the External Fixation System and an Intermedullary Nailing System, is attempting to gain brand leadership in external fixation in Germany - the third largest device market in the world. It says that independent research shows its External Fixation System is already market leader in Japan, France Italy, the UK and Spain. Sulzer will also distribute in Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.
