Executive Summary
Fonar has announced the sale of two further QUAD 12000 MRI scanners, worth a total of $3 million, including service contracts. This brings the total number sold to 20. The company says that the QUAD high-field open scanner operates at twice the field strength of its nearest competitor and open types are more user-friendly than the tunnel-type MRI scanners. Melville, New York-based Fonar's latest customers are an outpatient centre in Texas and a Spanish hospital.
