"Biotechnology is booming in Germany. We are on course to become Europe's top biotech location. Germany has the best conditions for new companies, for research and for production." This was the view of Dr Jurgen Ruttgers, the German Minister for Education, Science, Research and Technology, speaking at the Bio '98 international biotechnology meeting and exhibition in New York this month.
