Fonar and Toshiba have reached an "amicable settlement" in a patent infringement case brought by Fonar in early 1996 relating to magnetic resonance imaging technology. Over the past few years, Fonar has settled similar patent cases with four other large imaging companies - Hitachi, Philips, Siemens and General Electric.
