Analysts Morgan Stanley Dean Witter have given the thumbs up to Bausch & Lomb's prospects in the laser eye surgery sector in the US. Following two acquisitions, Martin Hedges reports that the eye-care company looks set to dominate the market. The virtual stranglehold on the US laser vision correction surgery by Visx and Summit is set to end this year, according to one major analyst, with Bausch & Lomb in the best place to take over brand leadership of this burgeoning market.
