The FDA has cleared Hewlett-Packard's HP Viridia Wave Viewer, a handheld assessment tool for telemetry patients. The Wave Viewer displays integrated ECG and oxygen saturation information obtained by the telemetry system on a palmtop PC. It allows doctors to study instantly vital signs at an ambulatory patient's side via a direct interface with the telemetry system transmitter.
