Japan's over-the-counter in vitro diagnostic test market is growing at around 14% annually. However, OTC tests still only account for 5%, or ¥4 billion ($120 million), of the IVD market, Hiroshi Miura, director of Nippon Gene, told the 7th Global Medical Device Conference in Sydney last month.
