The HydroBrush keratome for the removes epithelium from the cornea. This procedure is commonly done prior to vision correction and other surgery on the cornea. It removes the epithelium using a fine sheet of high speed water. The company plans to seek approval to market the device as a treatment for the removal of pterygium, a fleshy overgrowth on the anterior surface of the eye.
