Swiss link to rationalise German sales

Swiss companies Mathys Medical and Stratec are to merge the sales and services organisation in Germany for sterosynthesis and joint replacement products. The companies will form a German distribution company, Synthes, in which they will each hold a 50% share. The company is expected to be operational in mid-1998.
