An advisory panel to the US FDA has unanimously recommended approval of Cygnus's GlucoWatch Biographer, a wristwatch-like device that enables diabetics to monitor their blood sugar levels closely despite using as few as one fingerstick a day. The panel made its recommendation subject to three easily manageable conditions.
