Executive Summary
Denmark's Radiometer has added tests for foetal haemoglobin (HbF) and bilirubin to its ABL700 fully automated blood gas analyser. The device, which the company claims is the first to provide a quantitative measurement of HbF from whole blood, can now measure 17 STAT parameters using just 95ml of whole blood. Micro modes, down to 35ml, are also available for HbF and bilirubin with all oximetry parameters. The analyser is equally suited for laboratory as well as near-patient testing, said Copenhagen-based Radiometer.
