Schering's imaging agent, Levovist (D-galactose + palmitine), has received insurance reimbursement listing in Japan. Levovist, which is used for ultrasound imaging of tumours as well as the cardiovascular and peripheral circulatory systems, will be co-marketed by Tanabe. The official price is ¥2,934 ($112) per 2.5g vial.
