Haemonetics is attempting to develop a further revenue stream by replacing third parties as suppliers of IV solutions for use with the Braintree, Massachusetts-based company's platelet collection disposable sets. The company is presently applying for FDA clearance for its sodium citrate anticoagulant and anticoagulant citrate dextrose solution formula A (ACDA) - both of which have had a CE mark attached in Europe and have now been approved in Canada.
