Dade Behring has developed a built-in quality control (QC) system for its Stratus CS STAT fluorometric analyser for near-patient cardiac testing. The company exhibited at the AACC meeting at the end of July in New Orleans. System Check monitors the analyser's overall performance, electronically checking four key instrument operating parameters. It monitors the detection system, fluidics, mechanical alignment and thermal control. The system also produces a hard-copy printout of the results.
