Careside has begun to pre-sell its point-of-care proprietary blood testing system to hospitals and large physician groups. The company claims that its analyser system, consisting of more than 50 tests, will produce accurate results in less than 15 minutes. According to the company, of Culver City, California, initial responses have been encouraging. Both hospitals and physician practices of more than five doctors will be able to cut their costs and increase their lab quality standards, the company says. It goes on sale later this year in the US.
