Isolyser has sold the assets of MedSurg Industries to healthcare supplier Allegiance and has granted a three-year licence for the use of Isolyser's proprietary degradable materials, OREX and Enviroguard, for distribution in the healthcare market. The total value of the sale is $31.3 million. Allegiance says that it plans to use the environmentally-friendly materials in a large percentage of its disposable products used in the operating room, labour and delivery rooms and cath labs.
