Executive Summary
Bionx Implants and Innovasive Devices has agreed to settle the patent lawsuit brought by Bionx last year over Innovasive's ClearFix Meniscal Dart. The October 1998 lawsuit will be dropped in return for Marlborough, Massachusetts-based Innovasive licensing the disputed patent. Other terms were not revealed. Innovasive president and CEO, Rick Randall, said that the negotiated solution was less costly and uncertain than continuing the litigation.
