Computer Motion's Zeus robotic surgical system has been used for the first time to perform a fully endoscopic heart bypass procedure. The minimally invasive coronary artery bypass graft, which was carried out by a team at the Bakoulev Scientific Center in Moscow, Russia, allowed the procedure to be performed safely and effectively through ports of 1cm in diameter or less, said the Santa Barbara, California-based company.
