Finnish company Tamro MedLab is continuing its expansion into Norway with the acquisition of Leica Mikroskopi, which was 90.9% owned by Lab Konsult, with the remainder held by Leica Microsystems. Leica Mikroskopi, which has annual turnover of around NKr35 million ($4.7 million) distributes microscopes, solutions for specimen preparation and imaging systems in Norway for Leica Microsystems and other suppliers. Earlier this year Tamro MedLab bought two Norwegian companies.
