Japanese company Teijin has expanded its relationship with Aksys and acquired the exclusive manufacturing and marketing rights to the PHD home dialysis system in Japan. The companies began co-operation on the project in January 1998, when Teijin bought $5 million of Aksys shares and initialised a co-development project designed to market the system.
