Executive Summary
US cardiologists have successfully used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to diagnose blockages in two of the main coronary arteries. MRI was as accurate at diagnosing blocked arteries as heart catheterisation, the current standard test, researchers from the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, report in Circulation (June 29).
