Executive Summary
Boston Scientific has CE-marked its NIROYAL Advance coronary stent system. Based on the original NIR stent developed by Israeli company Medinol, the second-generation device is gold plated for increased radiopacity and conforms more easily to the shape of the blood vessel due to the decreased flaring at the ends of the stent. It is available in four sizes with diameters ranging from 2.5mm to 4.0mm and lengths of 9mm to 31mm.
