Medtronic is to supply Premier with minimally-invasive cardiovascular products under a three-year agreement. Medtronic already supplies the healthcare group purchasing alliance with pacemakers and defibrillators under an agreement dating from September 1998. "This agreement signals Medtronic's emergence as a major supplier in the $2.5 billion market for interventional cardiology products and recognises the strength of Medtronic's vascular sales force," said William George, Medtronic's chairman and CEO.
