Executive Summary
CryoLife has CE-marked its BioGlue surgical adhesive for pulmonary applications, such as sealing incisions following trachea, oesophageal and lung surgical procedures. The protein-based product is already available in Europe and certain other countries outside the US for vascular surgical procedures and for repairing aortic aneurysms. The Atlanta, Georgia-based company recently CE-marked a new delivery system and applicator for the adhesive (see Clinica No 849, p 22).
