The Australian venture capital company, Start-up Australia, has signed an agreement with Research Corporation Technologies, a technology investment company based in Tucson, Arizona. The two firms have set up a joint venture, BioVentures Australia, which will invest in life science and medical technologies originating in Australia. BioVentures Australia will work with research institutes and individual researchers to identify, develop and commercialise inventions. It will provide project funding and management as well as commercial, legal and patent expertise and product development experience.
