Cardima has CE-marked its NAVIPORT deflectable tip guiding catheter. It is the only one of its kind to have an open lumen which allows the delivery of diagnostic or therapeutic microcatheters into the chambers and coronary vasculature of the heart, says the Fremont, California-based company. In addition, physicians are able to control the steering of the catheter while maintaining the selected curve shape by using a control knob.
