Thermo Electron, a US provider of analytical and monitoring instruments, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Kristina Isakovich as vice-president of corporate strategy (joining from Mckinsey & Company); Dr William Hancock, as division vice-president and director of proteomics in the life sciences sector (Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Laboratories); and Dr Christopher Becker, as director of proteomics technology from GenTrace Systems, a company he co-founded and which develops genomic and proteomic analytical systems based on high-throughput mass spectrometry.
