Executive Summary
Hewlett-Packard spin-off Agilent Technologies is to buy Anesthesia Recording, which makes networked anaesthesia-information systems, for an undisclosed amount. The Pittsburg, Pennsylvania-based company will become part of Agilent's healthcare solutions group. Agilent, of Palo Alto, California, has been distributing Anesthesia's CompuRecord system since last October under an exclusive agreement. The product automates anaesthesia record keeping through the pre-surgical, surgical and post-operative stages.
