Executive Summary
The UK Medical Devices Agency (MDA) will charge companies based in the UK £70 for each registration or change of registration of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products once its new IVD regulations are in place. The regulations, which will transpose the EU IVD Directive into UK law, are expected to be in place by the June 7 deadline for implementation of the directive. The fees are permanent and will remain the same once the EUDAMED IVD database becomes available for the MDA to centrally register product details.
